The Dentist

Dr.CungNguyen

Husband. Father of four. BITES Institute–certified implantologist. Quiet champion of big-city dentistry in a small town.

I.Chapter

A long way to Mile Zero

Cung's path to Dawson Creek didn't begin in Dawson Creek. Born abroad and trained across two continents, he chose to plant roots in the Peace region precisely because he saw a community that deserved — but didn't always have access to — the kind of dentistry that big cities take for granted.

II.Chapter

Training with the best

In 2022 he was one of a small cohort invited to complete the BITES Institute Certified Implant Residency — a year-long fellowship in advanced implant surgery taught by some of North America's most respected oral surgeons and prosthodontists. He graduated with honors.

III.Chapter

Building the practice he wanted

When Cung took over Dawson Creek Dental & Hygiene Centre he rebuilt it from the studs. New chairs. New technology. A reception that feels like a hotel lobby. Cedar beams exposed. Brass fixtures, hand-plastered walls, a reading room instead of a waiting room. He wanted patients to feel the care before he ever touched a tooth.

Credentials & continuing ed

Never the dentist
you were last year.

Dr. Cung completes 100+ hours of continuing education each year — well above the regulatory minimum — because the procedures, materials and technology of modern dentistry don't stand still, and neither should he.

Off the chair

Four kids,
one remarkable wife.

Behind every great practice is someone doing homework, making lunches, and tolerating dental-nerd dinner conversation. Thank you, Thu — and to the four little reasons we do all of this.

When Cung isn't on the chair, you'll find him hiking with the kids along the Kiskatinaw, coaching minor hockey, or attempting (and occasionally succeeding at) sourdough.

The team

It takes a village
to run a great practice.

Dentistry at its best is invisible.
You forget we were here — and that's the point.
